Summary: Zehn does not require an account and does not sell personal information. Meditation preferences, questionnaire answers, favorites, progress, streaks, and settings are stored locally on the user's device. Limited purchase information is processed by Google Play or Apple and RevenueCat to provide and restore subscriptions.
This Privacy Policy explains how the Zehn Persian Meditation mobile application ("Zehn" or the "App"), published by Sepehr Taghavi ("we," "us," or "our"), handles information.
1. No Accounts or Registration
Zehn does not require users to create an account, register, or provide a name, email address, phone number, or mailing address to use the App.
2. Information Stored Locally on the Device
The following information may be created through use of the App and is stored locally on the user's device:
- Onboarding and meditation questionnaire answers, such as mood, goals, experience level, and preferred meditation time;
- Meditation progress, completed sessions, total minutes, and streak information;
- Favorite sessions and content selections;
- App preferences and settings.
We do not receive this locally stored information. The current version of Zehn does not upload meditation questionnaire answers, progress, favorites, or settings to our servers or to a cloud database.
3. Subscriptions and Purchase Information
Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Google Play on Android and Apple on iOS. We do not receive or store payment card numbers, bank account details, or billing credentials.
Zehn uses RevenueCat as a service provider to manage subscription entitlements and restore purchases. RevenueCat may process an anonymous App User ID, purchase history, subscription status, product identifiers, transaction information, store receipt or purchase token, locale, and currency information. This information is used for app functionality and subscription analytics. It is not used by Zehn for advertising and is not sold.
Information sent to Google Play, Apple, and RevenueCat is encrypted in transit. Their handling of information is also governed by their own privacy policies:
4. Information We Do Not Collect
Zehn does not collect or sell:
- Names, email addresses, phone numbers, or contact lists;
- Precise or approximate location;
- Health records, medical records, or biometric information;
- Photos, videos, microphone recordings, or personal audio files;
- Advertising identifiers or information for targeted advertising;
- Meditation listening history or questionnaire answers from the device.
Zehn does not contain third-party advertising and does not use user data for targeted advertising.
5. Device Permissions
On Android, Zehn uses internet access for subscription verification and a media playback foreground service so that a user-initiated meditation can continue while the screen is locked or the App is in the background. These permissions are not used to collect personal information.
6. Sharing of Information
We do not sell or rent user information. Limited subscription and purchase information is transmitted only to the applicable app store and RevenueCat as service providers for payment processing, entitlement verification, purchase restoration, fraud prevention, compliance, and subscription analytics. We may also disclose information when required by law.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
Locally stored meditation data remains on the device until the user uses Zehn's Delete Data feature or uninstalls the App.
RevenueCat retains subscription records as necessary to provide and restore subscription access and to meet legal or operational obligations. Users may request deletion of data associated with their anonymous RevenueCat identifier by contacting us at support@zehn.app. We will process the request with RevenueCat where applicable. Google Play and Apple may retain transaction records under their own legal and privacy requirements.
8. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the limited information processed by the App. Subscription information is encrypted in transit. No method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
9. Children's Privacy
Zehn is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through a support request, contact us so that we can delete it.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when Zehn's features or data practices change. The latest revision date will be displayed at the top of this page. We will update this policy and the applicable app-store disclosures before introducing materially different data collection.
